We carry out a fire risk assessment at each property where there are communal areas every three years.

Each block of flats has an evacuation strategy for the building. You can find the notice explaining the strategy for your building displayed in the entrance area.

We are currently carrying out a programme of fire safety works to ensure that our properties are as safe as possible. You will be contacted directly if any of these works are taking place in your home. We also carry out regular servicing, testing and maintenance of fire safety equipment within our properties. This includes items such as fire alarms and automatic opening vents where these are present.

We ask that you do your bit to keep our homes safe. This includes:

  • Reporting anything of concern to your housing officer.
  • Keeping communal areas free from items.
  • Changing the batteries of smoke alarms within your property.
